While pelvic pain during pregnancy is usually not harmful to your baby, it can be extremely uncomfortable for you and prevent you from engaging socially, or even moving around and staying active.
It often manifests as pain around the front centre of the pubic bone and across your lower back, as well as the perineum and thighs.
This pain might be impacting you from walking or going up and down stairs, but you do not have to suffer alone – we’re here to help you avoid this pain and enjoy the exciting, magical experience that pregnancy should be.
To help to ease your pelvic pain, it’s important to keep as active as possible, but rest when you feel it is necessary. You should also avoid sitting or standing for extended periods of time and keep the lifting of heavy objects to an absolute minimum.
If you’re not able to manage your pregnancy pains alone, reach out to us at Hands On Physiotherapy. We’re armed with the knowledge and expertise necessary to help you to overcome pelvic pain.
If you’re not quite ready to book an appointment yet and have some questions you would like answered first, click the link below to complete a form to get the conversation started.
